In collaboration with the UNESCO Institute for Statistics, UNICEF launched the Out-of-School Children Initiative (OOSCI) in 2012, aiming to make a considerable and sustainable discount in the number of out-of-faculty kids worldwide by providing associate Governments with actionable data. OOSCI identifies barriers that result in exclusion and develops proposals for policies and programmes that put more youngsters in school, on track to finish their education. Over ninety countries have joined the initiative since its launch, a lot of whom depend on OOSCI information to forge education sector plans. Children and adolescents are excluded from education for a lot of causes.
